Light On Your Feet? Use A Lighted Dance Floor

You will know of some friends and some people who take up dancing for health reasons. Some dance as a career. Others dance purely to be social. Whatever the reason for dancing, the right atmosphere is always a key factor. One way to achieve this is by having a lighted dance floor. These dance floors provide a fun ambiance no matter where they are installed. They are a groovy way to present an inviting dance floor and light up your feet.

Dance floors can be awesomely introduced in unforgetable ways. If someone is looking for a more nostalgic look, the black and white checkered floor is in order. A sultry atmosphere would call for a sleek black dance floor. If a venue or event needs a fun surrounding for their guests, an illuminated dance floor would be the perfect way to go.

The surface of an illuminated dance floor is typically made from acrylic glass. Lighted dance floors can give off different colors and patterns. This is due to the computer control built into the dance floor. Each separate row of the dance floor shares a module. This, in turn, tells the lighted dance floor how to present the colors and at what frequency.

Lighted dance floors first received great attention only in the 1970’s. Many disco clubs offered these dance floors for guests to better set the tone for their venues. This particular style was a sure way to keep the party going long into the night. The type of music which was played also worked in harmony with the lighted dance floor. The nightclubs of current times still offer the popular lighted dance floors for their guests. These clubs mostly cater to the techno and hip-hop music lovers.

Although lighted dance floors were a great hit throughout the years, practically they are not that easy to maintain. The power consumed by these types of dance floors is very high also. With people being environmentally friendly, the lighted dance floor didn’t always seem like the wisest choice. Conventional lighting also poses limitations when building lighted dance floors. Heating issues for the illuminated dance floor has been another reason why these types of floors are being used less frequently.

With advancing technology, there are many new ways to achieve having a lighted dance floor without using so much energy and having to keep up with the maintenance. One particular type of floor, the LED dance floor, has been gaining popularity recently.

The LED dance floor uses modern technology to achieve the same effects as the old, outdated lighted dance floors. The lights are cooler and require much less power to use. There are also many more options with LED lights. Pattern, shape, and color choices are limitless with the LED dance floor systems.

Dancing is a great way to get up and move to the beat of the music. Enjoying the excitement of a lighted dance floor will surely make your experience a memorable one.
