Enjoying Ballet Dancing

Historically, the trace of ballet dancing can be linked back to the fifteenth century. It originated in Italy, but later expanded to France and Russia. It was there that ballet dancing was embraced as a form of entertainment.

Many dancers have changed, improved and transformed recently since the beginning of this art form. Ballet dance floors and portable ballet bars are a few examples of equipment that has been modernized throughout the years to keep ballet dancers safe and current with the times.

Operationally, a ballet dance floor needs to fulfill certain requirements in order to be safe and appropriate for use by the dancers. Some of these requirements include resilience and proper surfacing materials.

A ballet floor should be resilient, meaning it has a sort of springy feeling when walked on. This is achieved by installing the ballet dance floor with air space beneath it. These are also known as floating floors. The marley floor is a popular example of this. This ballet dance floor uses a multi layered system to achieve the necessary resilience.

Another popular style of a ballet dance floor utilized is the basket weave design. This ballet floor is constructed in seven different layers. This ensures that the floor is uniform and level throughout.

All ballet dance floors must also be free of raised surfaces. The flooring styles used help make sure the ballet dance floor is smooth. The floor also must never be sticky. These key elements ensure the safety of the dancer.

With all of the requirements and specifications for a ballet dance floor, it is no wonder that they don’t have a small price tag. Most of these floors range in the twenty thousand dollar range.

Portable ballet bars are another tool used by the dancers. These bars make it easy to train and practice as the dancers change venues constantly.

Most of these portable ballet bars are free standing, normally utilizing an oak rail. They can have either a double or single railing system. The portable ballet bar can range in price from two hundred dollars to thousands, depending on the materials used.

Ballet dancing is a form of art enjoyed by many. Making sure the ballet dance floor has met the proper specifications will ensure the safety of the dancer, as well as keep people entertained for years to come.
